SPIRITVALE

PATCH / VERSION 0.34.2

Echo Gems, Map Damage and PvP Queues

SpiritVale 0.34.2 (18 October 2026): Echo boss gems, a tenfold Resonance Core rate, lower A–C monster damage, cheaper Boss Lures and a rebuilt PvP queue.

What 0.34.2 changes, in the note's order

The 18 October 2026 announcement is a tuning and fix patch rather than a content drop. It groups its entries into four blocks: three fixes, three additions, a set of economy and difficulty adjustments, and a PvP section. The fixes are that Perfect Cloak was not working against Shadow Monsters, that the Seer Gem allowed targeting cloaked units, and that the Card Box could give invalid cards. The additions are a Wraith Boss Lure, a Ghost Gem, and gem and crystal drops on Echo bosses. The tuning covers the Resonance Core drop rate, monster damage on A, B and C ranked maps, and the crafting cost of Boss Lures and Spire Compasses. The PvP block changes who may queue, how large a party may be, how ranks work, and how many regional queues exist. Nothing in the entry announces a new map, a new class or a new boss encounter.

PvP: a level gate, duos only, and two queues in place of regional ones

0.34.2 restricts PvP queueing to advanced classes at level 100 or above. Maximum party size becomes two, which the note glosses as "so only solo or duo queue". Ranks are revised, and the separate regional queues are consolidated: players queueing in NA, EU or SA enter one queue that starts matches in NA, while players in OCE, SEA or ASIA enter a second queue that starts matches in ASIA. Read together, those four lines change the shape of PvP more than any other part of the patch — a level requirement filters the pool, a party cap removes trios and full groups, and merged queues trade regional match starts for a larger pool per queue. The note does not say whether the level gate treats premade groups differently, and it does not restate the level-scaling figure. That figure was published separately: 0.34.1 raised PvP level scaling from 100 to 150, mainly HP and MP. A level 100 queue requirement and a level 150 scaling value are therefore two different numbers from two different notes, and neither overrides the other.

Survivor status, Gladys gear and the cooldown fix

One PvP fix sits apart from the queue changes: Survivor status from Gladys weapons had no cooldown, and 0.34.2 adds one. Gladys gear is the PvP reward set that 0.34.0 introduced in exchange for Valor, so the fix targets an item family that only became obtainable with Conquest. The note does not publish the new cooldown length, and it does not say whether Survivor status can still be refreshed by swapping weapons. Read the entry as a statement that the behaviour was unintended and is now limited, not as a description of the new timing.

Echo bosses now carry gems and crystals

The additions block says that gem and crystal drops were added to Echo bosses, then names two drops and their sources. The Ghost Gem drops from Abyss Archon and Echo Wizard Master. The Shadow Gem drops from Lycanthrope and Echo Weaver Master. Two things are worth separating. The first is the loot change itself: Echo bosses gained a category of drop they did not previously carry. The second is the sourcing pattern, which pairs each gem with one Echo boss and one monster outside the Echo set — Abyss Archon with Echo Wizard Master, Lycanthrope with Echo Weaver Master. The note lists no drop rate for either gem, so any farm estimate you read elsewhere is inferred rather than quoted from the developer.

Wraith Boss Lure was added but not described

The notes list "Add: Wraith Boss Lure" with no further explanation. The name places it in the same family as the Boss Lure whose crafting cost the same patch reduces, and the monster-damage change in the same entry suggests a patch aimed at repeatable boss farming. That is an inference from naming and adjacency, not a stated mechanic: the announcement does not say what the Wraith Boss Lure summons, where it is used, what it costs to craft, or whether it is consumed on use. Until a later note or the live client answers those questions, this page records only that the item exists as of 18 October 2026.

Monster damage reduced on A, B and C ranked maps

The difficulty tuning is stated as three replacements: A-rank maps go from 45% to 30%, B-rank from 30% to 20%, and C-rank from 15% to 10%. The note calls the value "monster damage" and does not define whether it is a multiplier on monster output, a damage modifier attached to the map, or a cap. It also says nothing about S-rank maps, so the honest reading is that the three lower tiers moved and the top tier is unchanged in this entry. The practical consequence is that the middle of the difficulty ladder — the tiers most players farm while levelling — became less punishing, while the EXP multipliers published for those tiers in 0.32.0 were not touched. The leveling guide on this site carries that multiplier table; this patch changes the damage side only.

Resonance Cores: one in ten thousand becomes one in a thousand

The Resonance Core drop rate moves from 0.01% to 0.1%, a tenfold increase in the published rate. That single line matters because cores sit on the crafting chain that 0.32.0 introduced for Advanced Grimoires: craft at a class master from the matching artifact set, Masterwork Cores and one corrupted core, account bound on completion. 0.33.0 then cut the Grimoire requirement from 25 Masterwork Cores to 20. 0.34.2 does not repeat that requirement and does not say whether Resonance Cores and Masterwork Cores are the same item under two names, so this page keeps them as separate entries. What the patch does establish is direction: the rarest input in that chain became ten times more likely per kill.

Cheaper Boss Lures and Spire Compasses

The same block reduces the crafting cost of Boss Lures and Spire Compasses, with a parenthetical reading "Memory: 20 > 10". The note names one material and one halving, and applies both to two recipes. It does not state whether Memory is a material name, an item category or shorthand for a memory shard, and it does not give the full recipe for either item. A total cost for a Spire Compass quoted after this patch is therefore the note's parenthetical plus an assumption about the rest of the recipe.

Stealth, cloaks and card boxes

Three fixes change behaviour rather than numbers. Perfect Cloak was not working against Shadow Monsters and now does. The Seer Gem no longer allows targeting cloaked units, and the note adds that a cloaked unit must be revealed by ground skills first — a clarification that matters because it describes the intended counter-play instead of only removing an exploit. The Card Box could produce invalid cards and should no longer do so. The first two entries affect PvE as well as PvP, since neither is marked as mode-specific. That is unusual in this patch: the queue changes are explicitly PvP-only, while these fixes are not.

The separate 12 October balance post

0.34.2 is not the only recent balance source. A separate post published on 12 October 2026 carries no version number and changes four things: Paladin's High Guard no longer grants Ground Resist, marked PvP only; damage to and from element mods no longer works on players and summons, which the note says affects Faith as well; Berserker's Dusk Scythe and Trident of Tides drop from 5% to 3% cooldown reduction; and Unyielding receives a cooldown fix. Because the post is unversioned, this site records it as its own entry in the patch ledger instead of folding it into 0.34.1 or 0.34.2. Anyone comparing a Paladin or Berserker setup across October should read both sources.

What the announcement does not publish

Four gaps are worth naming, because each is a place where a guide can accidentally invent a fact. There is no drop rate for the Ghost Gem or the Shadow Gem. There is no cooldown value for Survivor status. There is no statement about S-rank monster damage, so a claim that the whole ladder was softened is unsupported. And there is no explanation of how the consolidated queues pick a match region beyond the starting region each queue names. This page will add those details only after a later official note or a verified client check supplies them.

Which pages this patch touches

Four pages on this site are version-sensitive to 0.34.2. The leveling guide holds the 0.32.0 ranked-map EXP multipliers that this patch leaves in place while it changes A–C monster damage. The cards and artifacts guide holds the 0.31.0 card entries, including the Card Box chain this patch repairs. The artifact sets guide holds the Grimoire crafting chain whose rarest input just became ten times more common. The PvP guide covers the Conquest mode and the Gladys reward set that the Survivor status fix belongs to, and the bosses guide covers the Echo encounters that now drop gems.

Frequently asked questions

What is the newest SpiritVale update?

0.34.2, published on 18 October 2026. It adds gem drops to Echo bosses, raises the Resonance Core drop rate from 0.01% to 0.1%, reduces monster damage on A–C ranked maps, cuts Boss Lure and Spire Compass crafting costs, and rebuilds the PvP queues.

Can you queue SpiritVale PvP below level 100?

Not according to 0.34.2, which limits queueing to advanced classes at level 100 or above and caps a PvP party at two players. The level 150 figure that appears in PvP discussion comes from 0.34.1, which raised level scaling; it is a separate value from the queue requirement.

How much did 0.34.2 reduce monster damage on ranked maps?

The 18 October 2026 note lists A-rank from 45% to 30%, B-rank from 30% to 20% and C-rank from 15% to 10%. It does not mention S-rank maps.

Where does the Ghost Gem drop in SpiritVale?

0.34.2 names Abyss Archon and Echo Wizard Master as the sources of the Ghost Gem, and Lycanthrope and Echo Weaver Master as the sources of the Shadow Gem. No drop rates were published.
